Huge Catch Up

Well, like I said in the last post, I realize I haven't posted in MONTHS! My attempt at a blog has not been the most successful. I won't ever be able to completely catch up at this point--partially because we have been so busy I haven't even taken all that many pictures--but I thought I would do one big catch up post and then a final post showing the "after" version of the house. This is the catch up post, with a bunch of random photos from the past 4-5 months.

Working on the tile in our master bathroom:

I got stuck in the tub trying to place cut tiles in the back corner of the room :)

Craig laying the mastic under the tile.

Starting to lay the hardwood floors with a lot of help from Owen, Dad, and Mom!

The beginning of our island.

Another great friend helping out! Thanks Jane Ann!

Tiling the wall in the master bathroom.

First peek at the powder room!

Going back to grout the tile.

Painting the quarter round to go around the edges of the floor.

Cabinets are starting to go in!

Still working on the bathroom...!

Excited about the granite!

Yay! The master bath is almost finished!

I think this is as far as I'm going to show for now! We are actually moved in now, but still finishing up a last few things. It may be a few more weeks, but I plan to do one final post showing how things turned out. We have been so thankful for all the wonderful help we've had! I haven't gotten pictures of everyone, but my Nana and Papa came and helped us paint, Craig's brother Michael came for a weekend to help us work on the floors, and Hanna and Joe helped us move in, and Craig's mom came for the weekend to help us clean and get set up! Thanks everyone!

"Breaking" Our House

I know most of you probably thought we had totally abandoned our blog--which we did--but I'm going to try to resurrect it, at least to show the end of our renovation! One giant catch up post is on its way, but first, here is a post that I mostly drafted back in the fall, but never posted!

We are in Searcy visiting with Craig's family this weekend. The first thing our five-year-old niece, Eden, said to me when we walked in was: "Tiffany! I saw the picture of you breaking your house!" We died laughing, of course, but she is so right! I am so ready to be done "breaking" our house and really feel like we're putting things back together! The last big "breaking" project was ripping out our master bathroom so we can reconfigure everything, make it private, and add a powder room. This was definitely the messiest demolition yet!

Our sweet friend Jeremy came to help!
